The Kayano continues to offer a high level of protection with good cushioning that feels fairly springy rather than too soft. The support is good but the shoe is also surprisingly responsive given the level of cushioning and support on offer. It is not a lightweight by any means but if you were worried about the protection turning your shoe bulky then you should be assured this isn't the case with the Kayano. the fit is good and all in all the performance is what you might expect in a shoe costing this much!
