Gore-Tex upper, aggressive outsole and the usual support and cushioning technologies. You are likely to be satisfied by this trail running shoe even if it isn't stunning. It basically does everything you need it to. The price is probably a little high - especially as we are never quite convinced by water proof uppers, the water can come over the top.
