A surprisingly responsive trail shoe that also has a good level of traction on offer. The midsole is also well cushioned for sections of firmer ground. The outsole grips very well too. Well worth a look if you would not otherwise have considered Helly Hansen trail shoes. New colourway for the second part of 2007.

Found the Trail Cutters very comfortable with excellent grip on boggy ground. Wore them straight from the box for a recent race without any problem and the only time I felt like I was wearing a trail shoe was when running on a short section of road. They also came with spare laces and 2 individual shoe bags which was usefull for keeping the car clean after a session on the hills. Overall a good package.
