This is a very good shoe for several reasons. The cushioning is nice with a soft to springy feel. The shoe guides your feet nicely through a smooth movement and the fit and feel of the upper are good too. So far all you'd want and expect in a shoe at this price. But the bonuses come. The shoe is also quite responsive, not a lightweight, but there's a responsive feel to it that allows you to push the pace and use it for faster running. Then there's the traction. Not only does it grip on wet or dry roads the shoe is also happy to venture off road. Okay, not the really extreme stuff. But for a shoe with this much protection it is rare to be able to head out the door for a long run or fast tempo session, for a road run or a trail run.
