Light n Gutsy - great distance show.
I'm running marathons between 3:30 and 3:45 pace at the moment. I pronate slightly. These were my first deliberately lighter shoe with the intention of going the longer distance.
They are only now giving in to the beating they have taken, around 1300km over 6 months on mixed surfaces probably about half road half rocky trails.
Really nice support, very lightweight but secure and supportive, slightly wider than the very stripped back light racers like the Elixirs.
They've been a great shoe and although I now have the lighter Elixirs for race running and am looking to get a more specialized lightweight shoe for trails, I think I'll be getting another pair of the Inspire 5s for general road running and as the go-to shoe.
I think the Brooks Adrenalin are very reliable and stable - also a great general use runner - but even though the Mizunos are a bit less chunky through the sole, they feel like they give more back.
Hard to beat if you're looking for a light, stable, responsive distance shoe that feels good to run in and will take good care of you - even moreso if you have a broader than normal foot.
