The Nike Zoom Elite 9 is a shoe all about performance. It’s designed to make you feel light and snappy and ready to rumble. Take a look at the adidas Ultraboost for something similar.
The Elite series has always been about pacier days and the 9 is no exception. It looks like a faster shoe thanks in part to the last shape and the slightly lower profile (8mm heel to toe). The question is: does it perform like one? Let’s take a look
This shoe is built with the neutral runner in mind, working off a racing last
There’s a reworked waffle outsole which offers durable, sticky traction and the shoe offers top loaded zoom air in forefoot for increased responsiveness
A rubber crash rail on the lateral side helps promote smooth transition from striking to pushing off.
Seamless flymesh upper, which is breathable.
The shoe also features asymmetrical lacing for a better fit and more efficient lock down.
The mesh inner sleeve is a nice comfort touch.
This is a cool looking shoe and the 8mm heel to toe, working with such a comfortable fit means you can use these for most of your fast runs and if you fancy adding one or two other runs as well, well that’s not a problem thanks to the cushioning. We love pace work and anything up to eight or nine miles. A really nice shoe that is at home on most road and path trails.
